So, Nolan is 10 months old!! I’ve been loving watching him grow and learn. It’s the most fascinating thing to witness. I’m telling you, not a day goes by that I’m not completely blown away by something he does. He’s changed so much in these past 10 months AND there is so much more to look forward to!
Milestones: The biggest thing is, he’s WALKING! He legitimately can just get up and go wherever he wants, whenever he wants. So we’ve really got our hands full now. It was like one day he just knew how to do it.
He also seems like he’s starting to actually understand what we’re saying to him. Even though he can’t say any real words aside from Mama and Dada, if we ask him to show us something or do something most of the time he can do it.
He finally popped another tooth through! He’s up to three teeth now, two on the bottom and one on the top. The first two on the bottom came through right before he turned 7 months and it’s taken this long for the next one!
Another thing that happened this month is that Nolan got his haircut! I’ve trimmed it before, but this was his first actual full haircut!
Size: We haven’t been to the doctor to get weighed or measured, but I think he’s probably still around 23 pounds and may be a little bit taller than last month.
Health: No illnesses at all this month! Hooray!
Sleep: Lately, he’s been staying awake while I hold him and will fall asleep on his own when I lay him in his crib. He has always fallen asleep by me rocking him, so that’s quite a change. He will sleep from 7pm to 5:30 or 6am and take two 1 hour naps throughout the day.
Social: There haven’t been any changes here. He still loves people and continues to go to daycare 3 days per week and seems to be really happy there!
Eating: No huge changes here, but one thing I did notice is that he started really chewing up his food. Before he would kind of just mash food around, but suddenly it seems he is using a more noticeable chewing motion. It’s so hard for me to write down what his favorite foods might be because he truly loves so many things. Some of the things he doesn’t like are carrots, corn, and peas. It’s unfortunate for me because those things are so easy for me to give him!
We are still breastfeeding and throughout the month he has slowly went from nursing 5 times per day to 4 times per day.
Loves: He loves tackling his stuffed animals and cuddling with them, opening cupboards in the kitchen and pulling out everything he can get his hands on, playing catch, watching the bathtub fill up with water, music, and just loves exploring every room in the house!
Baby Gear Favorites: Nike Roshe Run Sneakers. I’ve had other shoes for him in the past, but he always would manage to get them off his feet. I love the Nike’s because for some reason he can’t get them off and I love that I don’t have to waste time tying them a million times throughout the day!
That’s all for this month! :)
See ya next time!
